 Sting and his wife Trudie Styler began the Rainforest Foundation International in 1989,
after they saw first-hand the destruction of the Amazon rainforests and the
devastating impact it had on the lives of the indigenous peoples who lived
there. The Rainforest FUND has been created in 1999, after ten years of working as
Rainforest Foundation International. As charitable foundation, the Rainforest FUND sees its mission to protect Indigenous Peoples as well as
to protect Traditional populations of Rainforest areas worldwide in their efforts to save their
environment and fulfil their rights.
Composer, singer, author, actor and activist, Sting has won universal acclaim in all of these roles. Also we think that the current Sting & Trudie Styler' environmental and organic activities compensate their early contribution to the heavy footprint abuse. | |
