The World
Leadership Conference 2011 Towards RIO+20 is 5-day preparatory conference which
aims to re-kindle the spirit of Rio by enabling the younger generations of
today with the skills, knowledge and inspiration required to be effective
leaders in creating change, especially towards climate change and sustainable
development. The World Leadership
Conference 2011 Towards RIO+20 reflects the highest ideals of ECO Singapore in
bringing together motivated and proactive individuals from Asia-Pacific to
focus on pertinent issues surrounding climate change and to develop leadership
qualities which would best prepare participants for Rio+20.

Road to Rio+20 is aiming the global youth mobilization towards the UN Conference on Sustainable Development. Coalition of 16 partners from 15 countries all over the world is united
behind the common aim to mobilize, inspire, empower and support young
people to take vivid action on issues of sustainable development in the framework of Rio+20.

Earth Summit will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 4-6 June, 2012. There will be three Preparatory Meetings for the Summit, each
lasting 2 days.
The first
two preparatory meetings for the Summit,
PrepCom1 and PrepCom2, have already taken place, from 17-19 May 2010 and
7-8 March 2011 respectively, at the UN Headquarters in New York. The third and final Preparatory Meeting will take place in Brazil prior to the Summit itself (get more information here).

Stakeholder Forum has set up the site Earth Summit
2012 as an information hub to provide updates, background information and
analysis towards Rio+20. This site also acts as
platform to connect organisations and stakeholders interested in engaging in the preparatory process. Here you can find ways to get involved in the lead up to the Summit and support global
efforts towards achieving sustainable development.
